Forget about shopping – you can do that online! For quality mother-daughter bonding time, here are some unforgettable ways to spend your special ladies day out in Sydney.

Sydney Tower Eye

How often does Mum feature in your family photos? Mums everywhere are missing out because they’re behind the camera taking the picture. Put Mum back in the frame at Sydney Tower Eye, one of Sydney’s most iconic landmarks. Hundreds of metres above the CBD, there are views for days. The Blue Mountains to the west, the ocean to the east, and below, thousands of people rushing around. You’ll see so much from your special vantage point in the sky. Snap some selfies to capture the moment forever, or take advantage of the Sydney Tower Eye official photographer. It’s so easy, just download your photos online after your visit. Once you’ve finished gazing at the view – fresh coffee and treats await in the cafe. How civilised!

SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium

Hooray for holidays! Mums and daughters need a break from the daily grind, and SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium brings the tropical vacation vibes. The Day and Night on the Reef exhibit takes you straight to the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, without leaving Sydney. Chill out while thousands of glittering tropical fish surround you. Meet the stingrays, find Nemo, and wander the underwater tunnels watching sharks cruise by, just inches away. Hang out on the steps beside the enormous Oceanarium viewing window, and catch up on each other’s lives, as giant rays glide past. For an authentic VIP experience, jump in the glass bottom boat and take an unforgettable journey across the surface of the Oceanarium!

WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo

Did you know baby echidnas are called puggles? You and your little puggle can discover lots of interesting things about our native animals during your visit to WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo. This is the home of the Aussie Big 5: koalas, kangaroos, crocodiles, wombats and platypus. See them play, watch the keepers feed them and find out more about their fascinating lives. There are plenty of ‘awwwww’ moments and endless photo opportunities. One of the exciting highlights is the incredible tropical butterfly garden. There are so many species here, most of which you won’t have seen before. You’ll both feel like Disney princesses, wandering through the enclosure, with butterflies fluttering through the air and landing all around you.

Madame Tussauds Sydney

Surely this place was made with mothers and daughters in mind. Celebrities – tick. Film stars – tick. Aquaman, Hugh Jackman, the Hemsworth Brothers… oh, stop it! There’s so much to love; you’ll exhaust yourself. Just remember, although the wax figures look completely lifelike, you won’t get much in the way of conversation. Do read the fascinating stories though, and see your favourite stars, like Rebel Wilson, Nicole Kidman and Adele. You’ll be surprised by their actual height and hair colour when you get up close! If you dare, take the experience further, with a studio recording session in the MTV Zone! Who knows? If you’re a big success, you might have your wax figure at Madame Tussauds Sydney someday!
