Exclusive Access To the Vivid Sydney Global Rainbow

For the FIRST TIME, Vivid Sydney has partnered with Westfield Sydney to bring you the Global Rainbow. This spectacular display of technicolour reaches out from Sydney Tower Eye to the Harbour Bridge and will display an amazing array of colours. This year, get exclusive access to the Global Rainbow by joining one of our Vivid Sydney SKYWALK tours. Follow an experienced guide around the outside of Sydney Tower Eye – take in the lights, the city, walk across two glass platforms and get up close to the Vivid Sydney Global Rainbow. Plus, the Observation Deck will be open late until 8pm, so you can see the Global Rainbow 250m high from the best vantage point in Sydney. 

SKYWALK Experience

  • 5:30pm - see the Global Rainbow switched on as the sun sets and the lights come on at 6pm.
  • 6:30pm - bask in the night lights with the Global Rainbow beneath your feet.

Everything for you to know before stepping out into the lights.

5:30pm - during this hour you will get to witness the Global Rainbow be switched on and watch as the sunset fades and the city lights up around you. The lights officially switch on at 6pm. 

6:30pm - Step out into the dazzling lights of the city with the Global Rainbow right beneath your feet. 

SKYWALK is for ages 10+. However we do have a ratio of 1 adult per 10 year old and 1 adult per 3 kids aged 11-17 year old. 

For Example. If you have a 10 year old and an 11 year old, there will need to be two adults. If you have an 11 and 15 year old, there will need to be one adult. 

To be able to do SKYWALK you must be a minimum of 90cm

Yes you must have with you: 

  • A passport or Driver's licence (a photo is okay, as long as it is eligible) 
  • Covered in shoes (no sandals, heels, boot heels) 

Please arrive at least 45min early. If you are late it may result in a re-booking fee. 

No, you can't take your phone or camera outside. However as part of our Vivid Sydney SKYWALK package all photos taken by our expert photographer are included. 

There are no discounts for the VIVID Sydney SKYWALK.

Yes, you have complete access to the Observation Deck and their later opening hours during Vivid Sydney. Just make sure you pre-book your timeslot. 

You can upgrade your General Admission ticket, however spots will sell out for our Vivid Sydney SKYWALK's, so we recommend booking those straight away. If you do want to upgrade on the day you risk all spots already being taken. 

The Vivid Sydney Global Rainbow switches on at 6pm, we recommend arriving early, taking  in the beautiful sunset, watch the lights switch on and then afterwards head on out to enjoy Vivid Sydney.
