Sydney – Tuesday 18 May 2020: Sydney Tower Eye is calling for young LEGO®-lovers to show off their brick building skills with the launch of Sydney’s first-ever Junior Sydney Brick Builder Competition!

In celebration of LEGO® Masters Judge, Ryan ‘The Brickman’ McNaught’s incredible ‘Brickman Cities powered by LEGO® City’ exhibition currently on show at Sydney Tower Eye, a call has been put out to budding builders between the ages of 5-10 to enter the Junior Sydney Brick Builder competition.

Not only will the winner be crowned Junior Sydney Brick Builder 2021 and receive a LEGO® trophy, they will also receive the ultimate LEGO® prize pack. The prize pack includes a family trip to LEGOLAND Discovery Centre in Melbourne including flights and a one-night stay in a Classic Twin Room for up to 2 Adults + 2 Children, including breakfast at Hotel Chadstone Melbourne MGallery by Sofitel. On top of all of this, the winner will also receive a Merlin Annual Pass which unlocks entry to 10 magical attractions in Australia and New Zealand, and of course LEGO®!

To be in the running, children aged 5-10 years old must seek the help of a parent or guardian to submit a recreation of the child’s favourite Sydney landmark out of LEGO®. This recreation can be submitted via a photo, or if you want to show more of your child’s personality, videos will also be accepted. You can enter via our Facebook page and don’t forget to tell us about their LEGO® creation, their name and age.

The judges will select six finalists who will be chosen to spend half a day at Sydney Tower Eye enjoying access to the Brickman Cities powered by LEGO® City exhibition, a 4D LEGO® movie and a private two hour workshop with a Master Model Builder from Melbourne’s LEGOLAND Discovery Centre – all before undertaking the final Brick Builder competition to be judged by Ryan The Brickman McNaught!

“We are excited to be launching Sydney’s first-ever Junior Sydney Brick Builder competition and can’t wait to see everyone’s entries as well as meet our enthusiastic finalists. This competition is about fun and creativity, so we look forward to seeing all the creative ways the kids recreate their favourite Sydney landmark” said Kieran Jiwa, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre’s Master Model Builder.

All competition entries will be judged on creativity and enthusiasm, so we encourage everyone between the age of 5-10 to submit an entry!
